International Program

To open students’ eyes to the world beyond the borders of the classroom, the DOP and the College of Optics, University of Arizona has signed a five-year International Memorandum of Agreement that, starting from spring 2009, will implement research collaborations and the exchange of scholars, technical staff and students. In addition, a two-way student exchange agreement between the DOP and Chulalongkorn University in Thailand has also been established. For outstanding graduate students, the department also provides both short-term research/study opportunities in the world’s leading research institutes, as shown in the table on the right. In particular, our dual-degree Ph.D. programs with Univ. de Franche-Comté and Univ. Pâul Cézanne, France, provide even better opportunities for outstanding students in broadening their personal, professional, and intellectual horizons, all adding up to help build up their careers in the future.
