Dual Ph.D. Degree Program at Univ. de Franche-Comté
Starting in May 2006, students enrolled in DOP's Ph.D. program have been able to pursue dual Ph.D. degrees at both National Central University and Univ. de Franche-Comté in France. Established in 1423, Univ. de Franche-Comté is a is a comprehensive university with college in humanities, language, medicine, law, economics, sports, sciences and engineering, with 1200 faculty and more than 21000 students. According to Wikipedia, "Much of the international visibility in pure and applied science at the University of Franche-Comté comes through the CNRS Institute FEMTO-ST with its expertise in numerous fields, including physics, optics, mechanics, time-frequency, microsystems and nanotechnology."
