Graduate Research

Currently a variety of technical areas in a broad range of optics/photonics are available from which students may choose to conduct their master’s and doctoral studies. On the other hand, through topical research, undergraduate students are also well-exposed to the work in these areas before their graduations, which has proved to be very helpful in their pursuit of advanced degrees in DOP and in other top universities worldwide.

DOP is home to 12 technical interest groups and is a leader or primary contributor in these areas as well as different interdisciplinary research, attracting a broad array of corporate (e.g. TSMC, Delta Electronics Inc., etc.) and governmental support. The links listed below go to both of those areas.

Technical interest groups

provide an overview of each group, faculty members involved, and major research areas.
