Tsung-Hsun Yang received his BS degrees in Electrophysics and in Applied Mathematics from National Chiao Tung University in 1988, and he also received his MS degree in Physics from National Tsing Hua University in 1990. Then, he went for the obligatory military service during 1990 to 1992. Afterwards, he went back to campus and received his Ph.D. degree in Electro-optical Engineering, from National Chiao Tung University in 1998. Thereafter, he joined in several projects as a postdoctoral fellow in National Cheng Kung University from 1999 to 2000, and in National Chiao Tung University in 2001. Shortly, he was recruited to Precision Instrument Development Center, National Science Council from 2001 to 2002. Since 2002 October, he has become an assistant professor in Department of Optics and Photonics, National Central University. Now, his research interests are color management for LED lighting and display, precision colorimetry, micro-optics, optical MEMS for biosensors, and nonlinear chaotic dynamics.

Lab for Color Science and Technology
To study the color human visual perception and related applications. Based on the most updated color science, the main technologies are including the color colorimetry, analysis and optimization for color mixing, and color management. We have applied our developed technologies for the LED lighting and display, so as to provide with better improving solutions. -
Optical MEMS Lab:
To study the integrated bio-chips for the bio-chemical analysis in biotechnology. The main technologies are including micro/nano-optics and optical micro-electro-mechanic system. Some essential bio-chemical protocols are applied onto the novel lab-on-a-chip such as to be high throughput, high sensitivity, and high speed in analysis.
