My name is Wen-Shing, Sun. Ph.D. I got my Ph. D. in Optical Sciences, from National Central University (NCU), in 2002. I worked at ITRI, DEI, and Hon-Hai companies. Then, I have been a professor at the Department of Optics and Photonics at NCU since 2006. My major fields are optical design, optical system design, and LED lighting design. I have thirty SCI papers, thirty U.S. patents and over sixty patents in Taiwan.

Optical System Design, Lens Design, Ophthalmic Design

Our laboratory is Optical Design and Simulation Laboratory, the research area of ours includes imaging and non-imaging system. We have studied the imaging system in digital camera lens design, projective TV optical system design, optical pickup head lens design, and stereo imaging optical design. And we also have studied the non-imaging system in LED illumination design, LED backlight module design, analysis of lens stray light, and measuring the tilt and defocus by optical pickup head.
